The city of Rome was founded in 753B.C, by two brothers names Romulus and Remus. The brothers were said to be sons of Rhea Silvia and mars, the god of war. When they were babies they were sentenced to death, but they were taken away by a servant and then nursed by a wolf until a shepherd found them and took care of them. When they were creating their city Remus had been killed my Romulus and then Romulus named the city Rome. 

The Republic was created in 510 BC. It was ruled by a senate, the people in the senate were voted in by the people.
